Introducing Hugo Workflows: Automate Anything, Visually

Hugo·Mar 14, 2026·5 min read

We're thrilled to announce Hugo Workflows, the visual, drag-and-drop builder for automating processes across your core Hugo workspace — no code required, but powerful enough for developers who want to push further. Current paid plans include workflow access, with monthly run limits published on the pricing page.

For months, we've watched teams manually connect the dots between their calendar, tasks, mail, and finance modules. A new invoice triggers a Slack notification. A completed task updates a project timeline. An overdue payment sends a follow-up email. These patterns are universal — and until today, they required manual effort or third-party tools like Zapier.

Hugo Workflows changes that. Every trigger, condition, and action lives inside Hugo, which means your automations have access to the full context of your workspace. When a workflow fires, it doesn't just see one data point — it understands your calendar, your team's workload, your financial health, and your communication history.

The builder itself is designed for clarity. Each node in a workflow represents a discrete action: "When an invoice becomes overdue" → "Check if client has upcoming meetings" → "Send personalized follow-up" → "Create task for account manager." You can branch with conditions, loop with iterators, and schedule with cron-like precision.

Under the hood, workflows execute on a fault-tolerant engine with retry logic, audit logging, and real-time status monitoring. Every run is tracked in your workflow history, so you can debug, replay, or optimize at any time.

We're launching with support for triggers across Calendar, Tasks, Mail, Finance, and Files — with AI Agent triggers coming next month. Imagine: "When Hugo AI detects a frustrated customer email, create a high-priority task and notify the team lead." That's where we're heading.

Workflows are available across Hugo's current paid plans. Solo, Business, and Scale differ by monthly workflow-run limits rather than by an obsolete Starter/Pro feature gate. Check the pricing page for the current limits before choosing a plan.
